This case study details the cybersecurity challenges and solutions implemented by a large central bank in Europe, focusing on their adoption of Clear NDR. The bank, which manages over one trillion euros in assets, faced significant threats from cyberattacks due to its critical role in monetary policy and currency management. The legacy intrusion detection system (IDS) previously in use limited their visibility and response capabilities, prompting the need for a more effective network detection and response (NDR) solution. Clear NDR was deployed to eliminate blind spots, prioritize alerts, and integrate seamlessly with existing security tools. The implementation resulted in improved threat detection, reduced incident response times, and enhanced confidence in data security. The case study also highlights the bank's preference for a layered defense strategy, reliance on a large security operations center (SOC), and the importance of compliance with strict regulations. The bank's unique security practices and the challenges they faced during the transition to Clear NDR are also discussed.
