This case study details the challenges faced by NCS Support, an IT services provider, when a client's SBS2011 server failed. The server, which hosted mailboxes for up to 75 users, experienced a dirty shutdown state, rendering all mailbox data inaccessible. NCS Support attempted to restore the server using the Exchange ESEUTIL utility but faced time constraints and operational challenges. To mitigate server downtime, which could lead to revenue loss, NCS Support opted for Stellar's EDB to PST Converter. The tool was quickly installed and utilized to extract critical mailbox components into PST format. The extraction process was successful, allowing all items, including emails, calendars, and address books, to be saved in an Outlook data file. Andrew Charlesworth from NCS Support praised the Stellar Converter for its efficiency and effectiveness, noting it as the most powerful extraction tool he had used in over 20 years of experience with Exchange installations.
