Henry County School District Power Management Case Study

This case study details the modernization efforts of the Henry County School District's IT infrastructure to ensure stable network services across its multi-campus environment. The district, serving over 43,000 students, faced challenges in maintaining uptime for its educational and administrative activities, particularly after implementing a program to provide connected devices to students. The IT team transitioned from traditional rack-based uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) to a centralized power solution, which included a 40 kW N+1 redundant UPS and over 100 single-phase UPS units. This upgrade allowed for improved management capabilities and reduced the labor-intensive nature of battery maintenance. The implementation of Vertiv Environet monitoring software enabled remote troubleshooting and management, enhancing operational efficiency.
