This case study outlines the infrastructure updates and network deployment undertaken by the City of Boynton Beach. The city initiated a mission to innovate by demolishing an outdated city hall and constructing a new four-story office building and library. Additionally, the historic Boynton Beach High School has been transformed into an arts and cultural center, while the Town Square is being updated to enhance residential and retail spaces. To support these developments, the city recognized the need to upgrade its network capabilities due to an increase in IoT devices. STEP assisted the city in selecting the appropriate network solutions, leading to the deployment of Extreme Network products across various city buildings. This includes the implementation of Extreme Fabric Connect, ExtremeWireless, and Extreme Management Center. The case study details the smooth execution of these updates, which provided secure connectivity for citizens, both wired and wireless, enhancing the overall infrastructure of Boynton Beach.
