This case study details the implementation of wireless connectivity solutions at the Breeders' Cup World Championships held at Keeneland Race Course in Lexington, Kentucky. The event required robust Wi-Fi infrastructure to support 45,000 attendees and numerous vendors, particularly in temporary tent structures designed for merchandise sales and luxury suites. STEP CG, the official Wi-Fi provider, collaborated closely with the event organizers to design, configure, and install an advanced Aruba Networks wireless solution. This included high-capacity Wi-Fi 6E access points and switches, ensuring reliable network access for point of sale transactions and guest connectivity. The solution allowed for rapid processing of vendor transactions and enabled guests to engage with wireless content, including streaming video. The technical support team monitored the network through a custom dashboard, addressing minor outages swiftly. The successful deployment of this technology enhanced the overall guest experience, marking it as a notable achievement in event connectivity.
