This case study details Kualo's implementation of the StorPool storage solution to address significant challenges in their cloud hosting services. Initially, Kualo faced storage speed and capacity limitations with previous systems, including AppLogic and various software solutions like Nexenta and FreeNAS, which led to scalability and performance issues. By deploying StorPool, Kualo consolidated multiple systems into a single solution that enhanced performance and reduced total cost of ownership (TCO). The new storage infrastructure, consisting of a 3-node cluster, achieved over 250,000 IOPS and 4 GB/s data transfer rates, utilizing redundant 10Gb networks for improved reliability. The case study outlines key benefits such as increased scalability, reduced downtime, and significant time savings by eliminating the need for multiple systems. Kualo's experience illustrates how StorPool's solution meets their criteria for performance, redundancy, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
