American Samoa Government Google Workspace Migration

This case study details the collaboration between Suitebriar and the American Samoa Government (ASG) to enhance public sector communication through the migration to Google Workspace. The ASG faced challenges with a fragmented communication system, relying on outdated IMAP servers and multiple Google Workspace tenants. The partnership aimed to consolidate these systems into a single, centrally managed Google Workspace environment. Suitebriar developed a multi-phased plan that included change management, extensive user training, and technical preparations for migrating user data. The project involved migrating 800 users from legacy systems and implementing a unified infrastructure that improved intra-departmental collaboration. The transition was facilitated by on-site support and training, leading to significant efficiency gains and improved communication across government agencies. The results indicated that the majority of employees adapted easily to the new system, benefiting from streamlined processes and enhanced access to IT support. Suitebriar's ongoing support aims to ensure the ASG maximizes its investment in the new technology.
