This case study details Bayer's initiative to standardize its Interactive Response Technology (IRT) systems through the development of BAYSYS IRT. As a leader in life sciences, Bayer faced challenges in managing complex clinical trials, necessitating an evolution in their IRT processes. The BAYSYS IRT system was created to enhance efficiency, consistency, and quality across all clinical trials by establishing a validated baseline for IRT transactions. The collaboration with Suvoda aimed to eliminate redundancies in setup and improve the overall trial execution process. Key steps included identifying and configuring Bayer-specific IRT modules, developing comprehensive user acceptance testing (UAT) scenarios, and ensuring compliance with Bayer's operational standards. The results indicated that the new system would streamline IRT setup, allowing for faster implementation and greater flexibility in customizing trials. Continuous improvement processes are in place to maintain high standards and quality across studies, ultimately supporting Bayer's mission to deliver effective medications to patients worldwide.
