This case study details the modernization efforts of a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) in the life sciences sector, focusing on their validation processes. The CDMO faced significant challenges due to outdated validation methods that relied heavily on paper and lacked a unified platform across multiple sites. This situation resulted in operational inefficiencies and difficulties in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. To address these issues, the organization implemented the Res_Q Validation Management Platform, which provided a consolidated system for all validation activities. The migration of historical validation packages into this unified system eliminated the fragmented records that complicated audits and change management. The standardized processes established through Res_Q improved operational efficiency and ensured audit-readiness. As a result of these enhancements, the CDMO is projected to save 1.5 full-time equivalents (FTE) annually on ERP validation efforts and is now equipped with a modern validation framework that supports compliance and operational excellence.
