This case study details the modernization efforts undertaken by Van Diest Supply Company to enhance their container tracking applications. In response, Van Diest partnered with Synergex Professional Services Group to develop a new scanner application for Android devices and to streamline their middleware. The new application was built using .NET MAUI, allowing for a single code base to target multiple platforms, which improved development efficiency. Additionally, the company transitioned to Harmony Core for creating RESTful web services, replacing the older SOAP-based services.
