Data Visualization for Diversity and Inclusion

This case study outlines a data visualization solution designed to enhance diversity metrics and employee mobility within a national media and communications company. The organization faced challenges due to a lack of visibility into employee movements, which hindered progress on diversity goals and delayed HR decision-making. To address these issues, the solution involved delivering Tableau dashboards to divisional VPs, enabling analysis by gender, ethnicity, generation, and promotion readiness. The project included a comprehensive assessment of existing HR data, designing a future-state reporting solution, and establishing robust data management processes. Additionally, it implemented tools such as Tableau, Informatica, and Oracle for data visualization and reporting. The results included improved identification of high-potential talent, accelerated HR decision-making, and progress on diversity goals, culminating in the receipt of the Business Intelligence Innovation Award from the Technology Association of Georgia.
