TGA Smart-Seal Pan Analysis of LiPF6

This case study explores the challenges of thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) of atmospheric-sensitive samples, specifically lithium hexafluorophosphate (LiPF6). It highlights the development and application of TA Instruments' TGA Smart-Seal Pans, which autonomously open in the TGA furnace to maintain sample integrity. The study presents experimental data demonstrating the effectiveness of these pans in preventing contamination from moisture and atmospheric gases during analysis.
