Cybersecurity Services Response for Building Materials Distributor

This case study outlines the response of TeamLogic IT to a ransomware attack that compromised the active directory of a multi-state building materials distributor. The distributor faced significant challenges due to the outdated Windows Server 2003 infrastructure and the absence of a backup domain controller. TeamLogic IT proposed a swift migration to cloud solutions, specifically Microsoft Entra for identity and access management and Intune for device control. The project was initiated within two days and allowed three weeks for complete onboarding. Technicians from a nationwide franchise network were deployed to eight locations, while the remaining two were managed remotely. The migration process included identity synchronization, device enrollment, and multi-factor authentication configuration, allowing users to be restored without rebuilding the old server. Ultimately, the entire environment was stabilized, and users were back online within 16 days. The successful resolution of the incident led to a long-term managed IT services partnership between the distributor and TeamLogic IT.
