This technical report presents a framework that integrates Case-Based Reasoning (CBR) with Building Information Modeling (BIM) Collaboration Format (BCF) to enhance automated issue resolution in BIM-based model checking workflows. The framework addresses the existing gap between issue detection and resolution by structuring BCF issues as reusable cases enriched with semantic, geometric, and relational attributes derived from Industry Foundation Classes (IFC). A multi-dimensional similarity metric is utilized to retrieve relevant precedent cases, allowing for the reuse of knowledge from prior model checking instances. The report details the development and testing of the CBR-BCF framework across various coordination scenarios, demonstrating its ability to identify recurring issue patterns and support informed decision-making in design revisions. By linking new issues with previously resolved cases, the proposed approach aims to reduce manual effort and improve the efficiency of problem-solving in complex engineering contexts.
