This technical report discusses the challenges of formal requirement management in construction projects, particularly focusing on the limitations of existing methods in ensuring requirement compliance. It introduces a requirement-driven synthesis pipeline that utilizes Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles and graph rewriting techniques to enhance requirement definition and traceability. The proposed approach transforms SysML requirements into typed graphs, which are then operationalized through graph rewriting rules. These rules iteratively construct and adapt design models, ensuring that requirement satisfaction is achieved during the design process rather than through post hoc verification. The report details the implementation of this approach using a Neo4j-based graph environment, demonstrating its feasibility through a modular bridge case study. The findings indicate that the integration of requirement specification, model transformation, and validation can significantly improve the management of requirements in complex construction projects, addressing existing gaps in the field.
