This case study outlines the implementation of TechSur Solutions' DevSecOps approach at the Government Accountability Office (GAO) to enhance cybersecurity. The project involved integrating security measures throughout the software development lifecycle for over 85 applications using various platforms such as Java, PHP, and Cold Fusion. Key practices included the establishment of a CI/CD pipeline utilizing tools like Ansible, Jenkins, Nexus, Sonar, and Selenium, which facilitated continuous security integration. Additionally, the project emphasized the containerization of applications to improve security and scalability. The insights gained from this project are relevant to FEMA's cybersecurity objectives, suggesting that they could benefit from adopting similar DevSecOps practices. By integrating security measures throughout their software development processes, FEMA can enhance the security of their applications and meet their cybersecurity goals. The case study concludes by affirming the success of TechSur Solutions' approach and its applicability to other organizations aiming to strengthen their cybersecurity posture.
