Teledyne ISCO Water Products Flow Measurement Solution

This document is an application note detailing the implementation of Teledyne ISCO Water products to enhance flow measurement accuracy at an international airport's surface water attenuation ponds. The airport faced challenges with an existing area velocity flow meter that underreported discharge rates, particularly during peak rainfall events. A site review by a Teledyne ISCO expert confirmed that the low readings were not due to hydraulic conditions but rather the limitations of the existing sensor. A trial with the TIENet 350 Ex area velocity sensor demonstrated accurate measurements exceeding the expected peak flows of 350 l/s. Following this successful trial, the airport management adopted the TIENet 350 Ex and the Signature flow meter as permanent solutions, resulting in improved measurement accuracy and reliable monitoring across multiple drainage assets. The implementation has enhanced environmental compliance reporting and provided a robust flow measurement solution capable of accurately measuring high flow conditions within the airport's drainage network.
