This case study outlines the implementation of wastewater monitoring at Birlik Industrial Zone in Istanbul, Türkiye, utilizing Teledyne ISCO's 5800 stationary refrigerated samplers. The Birlik Industrial Zone consists of 81 factories across various industries, and the monitoring system is designed to ensure compliance with environmental standards. The samplers operate under challenging conditions, collecting samples from industrial effluents three to four days a week, with a standard collection volume of 500 mL per hour. The samplers are equipped to handle diverse wastewater compositions, including corrosive and chemically aggressive substances. They are installed outdoors and are built to withstand environmental factors such as sunlight and humidity. The 5800 samplers feature advanced technology for accurate sampling and temperature control, ensuring sample integrity. Feedback from the Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration indicates that the monitoring system has proven reliable over seven years of operation, meeting the stringent requirements of the industrial zone.
