Federally Qualified Health Centers Data Analysis Report

This research article presents a descriptive study focused on Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and their role in providing primary care services during the public health emergency from 2020 to 2023. The study utilizes publicly available data from the Health Resources and Services Administration's Uniform Data System to analyze the characteristics of FQHCs, including patient demographics, service utilization, and funding sources. The findings indicate that the population of FQHCs has remained stable, with a slight increase in patient volume and costs over the years. The majority of patient visits are classified as general comprehensive primary care. Additionally, the report highlights trends in the demographics of clients served, noting an increase in clients aged 65 and over, as well as those identifying as Hispanic/Latino. The article emphasizes the importance of FQHCs in addressing healthcare disparities and improving access to care for underserved populations.
