This case study details the collaboration between Arup, a global consulting and engineering firm, and Teneo, along with Aruba EdgeConnect, to modernize Arup's network infrastructure. The objective was to transition from a complex, costly MPLS and DIA-based network to a more scalable, simplified, and cloud-ready SD-WAN solution. The challenges faced included operational complexity, rigid traffic routing, limited visibility, and global connectivity issues. The implementation of Aruba EdgeConnect SD-WAN addressed these challenges by providing a cost-effective, cloud-native design that improved bandwidth and reduced operational overhead. Key results included a 306% increase in bandwidth, a 50% reduction in cloud egress costs, and a 1500% efficiency gain, achieving full ROI in 14 months. The case study outlines the strategic partnership with Teneo, which provided specialized expertise and a flexible co-management model, ensuring a smooth deployment and ongoing support for Arup's evolving network needs.
