This case study details the implementation of an autonomous floor cleaning solution at CNH Industrial's Parts Distribution Center in Lebanon, Indiana. The document outlines the challenges faced by the facility, including the significant labor hours required for floor cleaning and the desire to reduce chemical usage. In mid-2022, CNH Industrial engaged with Tennant to explore robotic cleaning technologies, leading to the acquisition of the T16AMR industrial robotic floor scrubber equipped with ec-H2O NanoClean technology. The implementation involved careful pre-planning to optimize cleaning routes and ensure operational efficiency. Results indicated a significant improvement in cleanliness, with the T16AMR operating autonomously for 38-44 hours a week, allowing the redeployment of staff to more productive tasks. Employee acceptance of the technology grew over time, and the facility's commitment to sustainability was reinforced through the use of battery-powered, chemical-free cleaning solutions. The case study concludes with CNH Industrial's plans to expand the use of robotic cleaners across additional facilities.
