This case study details the implementation of autonomous floor cleaning technology at Quinnipiac University, specifically focusing on the new Recreation and Wellness Center. The Facilities team, led by Jon Terry, faced challenges in maintaining cleanliness across 50,000 square feet of campus space, especially with high usage of the new facility. The team evaluated various cleaning options and ultimately selected the Tennant T7AMR autonomous mobile robot to enhance cleaning efficiency. The decision was based on the potential for increased productivity and improved cleanliness standards. The T7AMR has allowed the Facilities team to reclaim significant labor hours previously spent on manual cleaning, enabling staff to focus on more detailed tasks. The initial results have shown a marked improvement in cleanliness, with the machine effectively handling the demands of the busy center. The case study highlights the broader implications for customer experience and the university's commitment to innovation and sustainability.
