This technical report outlines the implementation of a Transportation Management System (TMS) by Bofrost to enhance the efficiency of its inbound and outbound transportation processes. The project commenced in March 2021, focusing on analyzing critical issues in logistics, particularly the management of loading and unloading yards. Bofrost handles approximately 5,000 trucks annually, and the previous system relied on informal scheduling methods, leading to inefficiencies. The introduction of Tesisquare's TMS aims to streamline operations by implementing a supplier unloading slot booking system, which became operational in September 2024. This system allows hauliers to select unloading slots based on product type and volume, improving traffic flow and data management. Future stages of the project will include enhancements for outbound transportation and the introduction of geofencing technology to improve communication and tracking. The report also discusses the anticipated operational and financial benefits of these improvements.
