This technical report presents a study on the application of 3D Ultra-High-Resolution Seismic (3D UHRS) surveys for offshore wind site characterization, focusing on the development of a depth velocity model and full waveform inversion (FWI) techniques. The report details the methodology employed, including the use of Kirchhoff Pre-Stack Depth Migration (KPSDM) and 3D tomography to enhance the imaging of geological features essential for foundation design. The survey was conducted in the Irish Sea, covering approximately 92 km², utilizing advanced acquisition techniques to achieve high-resolution data. The results indicate significant improvements in the resolution and geological consistency of the velocity model, allowing for better identification of soil stiffness variations. The correlation between seismic data and geotechnical parameters is documented, validating the effectiveness of the integrated workflow. The findings suggest that this approach not only improves imaging but also facilitates quantitative soil property extraction, which is crucial for offshore wind development.
