EPFL Student Risk Behaviours Survey 2022 Report

The EPFL Student Risk Behaviours Survey 2022 report outlines the findings of a survey conducted to understand the risk behaviours of students at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). Managed by Albertine Kolendowska and prepared by Roland Tormey, the survey aimed to inform the development of health and well-being supports for students. A total of 12,636 students were invited to participate, with 2,007 completing the survey, resulting in a 15.9% response rate. The report details various aspects of student behaviours, including well-being, alcohol consumption, drug use, and sexual risk behaviours. It highlights that 39.2% of respondents scored below the threshold for depression, and alcohol consumption patterns were found to be lower than the national average. The report also addresses illicit drug use and the awareness of medical assistance related to substance use. Additionally, it examines sexual risk behaviours, including STI testing and awareness among students.
