This technical report presents a study on the robustness of multimodal transportation and electricity networks, focusing on their interdependencies. The objective is to evaluate the robustness of public transport systems under various electric power breakdown scenarios, specifically applied to the city of Lyon, France. The methodology involves modeling public transport lines as directed and weighted graphs, integrating pedestrian pathways, and assessing the impact of electricity network disruptions on transit operations. The report outlines different functional states of transit lines based on power supply and employs metrics such as Average Travel Time (ATT) and Node Betweenness Centrality (NBC) to analyze network performance. Various disruption scenarios are simulated to identify vulnerabilities within the transit network. Results indicate that certain metro and tramway lines are critical for maintaining efficient mobility, with specific lines identified as more vulnerable to disruptions. The findings aim to inform infrastructure operators on enhancing preparedness and response strategies for potential disruptions.
