This technical report presents the findings of the longitudinal evaluation of the Building Institutions and Networks Initiative (BUILD), commissioned by the Ford Foundation. The evaluation commenced in 2022 and aimed to assess the long-term impacts of the BUILD program on grantee partners' organizational resilience and mission effectiveness. It specifically focused on the relationship between BUILD support and the ability of social justice organizations to achieve sustained impact over time. The evaluation examined various aspects, including the effects of receiving a second BUILD grant, known as BUILD 2.0, following the initial BUILD 1.0 support. The report outlines key learning questions regarding the contributions of BUILD to organizational resilience and mission impact, as well as differences in influence between organizations receiving varying lengths of support. The evaluation involved a diverse group of 289 grantee partners across multiple regions, providing insights into their experiences and outcomes related to BUILD funding.
