This document is a technical report on the Thomas Behaviour Assessment, also known as the Personal Profile Analysis (PPA). It outlines the assessment's purpose, which is to understand work-related behavioral preferences through a self-report measure consisting of 24 items. The assessment evaluates four scales: Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Compliance, providing insights into an individual's motivators, communication style, and values. The report details the theoretical foundation of the assessment, based on DISC theory proposed by Marston in 1928, which categorizes human behavior into four dimensions. Furthermore, it presents various studies demonstrating the predictive validity of the assessment in relation to job performance and workplace outcomes. These studies indicate that a closer match between an individual's behavioral profile and job requirements correlates with better performance, highlighting the significance of understanding behavioral traits in professional settings.
