Data Centralization and Power BI Implementation Case Study

This case study outlines the collaboration between Tiger Analytics and a top American insurance provider to centralize their data management system using Power BI. The primary objective was to consolidate multiple on-premises data sources into a single, integrated view that would facilitate improved analysis and reporting capabilities. The challenges faced included integrating 20 years of disparate data and the complexity of generating dynamic reports in various formats. The solution involved remodeling the existing datasets and developing Power BI dashboards, which provided both summarized and transaction-level details. These dashboards enabled users to compare key performance indicators over different quarters and offered detailed views for monitoring claims activities. The implementation of this centralized dashboard facilitated the tracking of discrepancies and ensured accessibility to essential KPIs such as Gross Incurred, Claims Entered, and others. Ultimately, the case study illustrates the effectiveness of utilizing Power BI for enhanced data visualization and decision-making in the insurance sector.
