This case study details the implementation of the TigerConnect Clinical Collaboration Platform at Providence Saint John's Health Center, a 256-bed hospital in Santa Monica. The objective was to enhance communication among care team members, which had previously been hampered by inefficient processes. The study outlines the challenges faced, including the difficulty in contacting the right providers and the time wasted in communication delays. By adopting TigerConnect, the hospital was able to standardize communication methods, leading to a 20% reduction in average length of stay (ALOS) and improved patient throughput. The platform allowed for asynchronous communication, enabling clinicians to respond to messages at their convenience, thus streamlining workflows and enhancing care delivery. The results indicated not only improved efficiency but also better quality of care, as critical response times were reduced and overall hospital performance improved financially. The case study concludes with future plans for further integration of electronic health records to enhance communication further.
