This case study details the collaboration between Universal Health Services (UHS) Southwest and TigerConnect, focusing on the implementation of a secure communication platform to enhance operational efficiency within the healthcare system. UHS, a major provider of healthcare services, faced significant challenges due to inefficient communication among staff, which led to workflow issues such as manual task monitoring and missed coordination opportunities. To address these challenges, UHS adopted TigerConnect to facilitate secure communications and streamline processes. The integration with Cerner, their preferred EHR, allowed for improved communication and workflow automation. The results included nearly 100% turnaround time for decision-to-admit alerts and the employment of over 300 roles to enhance staff interactions.
