Cloud Migration Case Study for Avant-Garde Marketing Solutions

This case study details the cloud migration process undertaken by Avant-Garde Marketing Solutions in August 2020. The company aimed to transition from on-premise file storage to a cloud-based solution hosted on AWS. Previously, Avant-Garde utilized two separate file storage systems, one on a Windows platform and another on a Mac Mini with external NAS storage. The motivation for this migration stemmed from a desire to eliminate the management and maintenance of on-premise servers. Avant-Garde engaged TrackIt for assistance with the migration, which involved using CloudEndure Migration for a seamless lift-and-shift process. The implementation faced challenges, particularly with file compatibility between the Mac and Windows systems. To resolve these issues, TrackIt developed a script to rename files for compliance with Windows file naming conventions. The case study emphasizes the effective communication and collaboration between Avant-Garde and TrackIt throughout the migration process, highlighting the expertise of TrackIt in cloud migrations.
