This document is a case study detailing a project aimed at achieving high chiller plant efficiency in a mixed-use development in Bangkok. The objective was to reach an energy consumption rate lower than 0.55 kW/RT, necessitating a robust design and precise installation. Trane was contracted to design and construct the chiller plant management system (CPMS), which included high-efficiency chiller units and a reconfigured piping layout that improved chilled water pumping efficiency. The project successfully achieved Green Mark Platinum certification, recognizing its excellence in environmental standards. The implemented solutions led to a significant energy saving of 31.2%, equating to approximately 1,304,875 kWh/year. The document also highlights the featured products used in the project, including the HSWA Magnetic Bearing Water-Cooled Centrifugal Chiller and various other systems that contributed to the overall efficiency and sustainability of the development.
