This case study details the implementation of the TRIMEDX Mobile Medical Equipment (MME) management program aimed at enhancing nurse satisfaction and patient safety within a large, non-profit Catholic healthcare system. The document outlines the challenges faced by nurses, including the significant time spent on non-clinical tasks related to mobile equipment management, which included searching for, retrieving, and cleaning equipment. The study presents the value achieved through the MME program, highlighting a 90% reduction in time nurses spent on these tasks and a notable improvement in nursing satisfaction, with reported increases of 27% and 109% in two regions. Additionally, the case study describes the strategies employed, such as standardized cleaning protocols and collaboration with infection control teams to ensure best practices. The results indicate a high success rate in cleanliness testing and improved operational efficiency, ultimately benefiting both nursing staff and patient safety.
