Impact of Automated Transport on Disabled People

This report is a technical document detailing the methodology and findings of a research project focused on the impact of automated transport on disabled individuals. Funded by the Motability Foundation and conducted by TRL in collaboration with the Research Institute for Disabled Consumers (RiDC), the project aims to support the development of inclusive automated transport technologies and services. The report outlines five key research tasks: an evidence review, stakeholder engagement, end-user focus groups, an end-user survey, and usability and accessibility trials. Each task is designed to address specific research questions regarding the benefits, challenges, and accessibility considerations of automated transport for disabled people.
