Video Communication Implementation in Healthcare

This case study outlines the implementation of a video communication solution by the Department of Health of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, aimed at improving healthcare delivery across its network of over 100 hospitals. The initiative was driven by the need to digitalize medical examination and treatment briefings, facilitating online collaboration among healthcare professionals. The City Oncology Hospital, a key affiliate, adopted TrueConf's video conferencing software to enhance internal communication and coordinate treatment efforts among its medical staff. The deployment of this system allowed for secure, high-quality video calls, ensuring patient confidentiality and data protection. Additionally, six medical stations were established to provide timely healthcare assistance, leveraging telemedicine consultations to connect local doctors with specialists. The results demonstrated increased efficiency in communication, reduced need for in-person visits, and improved healthcare access for residents, ultimately enhancing the quality of medical services provided.
