Tanknology Compliance Inspection Improvement Case Study

This case study details the implementation of TrueContext, a mobile form application, by Tanknology to enhance their compliance inspection processes. The primary business goals included reducing the time required to return inspection forms, increasing the efficiency of each inspection, and optimizing compliance inspection rates. Prior to the implementation, inspectors faced challenges with pen and paper forms, which required additional time for scanning and submission after hours. The introduction of TrueContext allowed inspectors to fill forms more quickly using drop-down menus, reducing data entry errors and enabling the inclusion of images to better articulate site deficiencies. The GPS and time-stamp features provided valuable data for compliance reports, enhancing customer confidence in the accuracy of the inspections. As a result of these improvements, Tanknology experienced a significant increase in monthly compliance inspections, from 300 to approximately 1,300, showcasing the effectiveness of the new system in streamlining operations.
