This case study outlines the operational improvements at EDER GmbH Fahrzeugbau, a vehicle manufacturer based in Tuntenhausen, Germany. The company faced challenges due to delays in receiving parts from external suppliers and limitations of their old bending machine, which could not meet production demands. To address these issues, Eder implemented laser cutting and bending in-house using TRUMPF machinery. The introduction of the TruLaser 1030 fiber and the TruBend 7036 significantly enhanced their production capabilities, with bending capacity nearly tripling. The transition was smooth, facilitated by direct instruction from TRUMPF fitters, allowing Eder to quickly adapt to the new technology. As a result, Eder has become more independent and flexible in their operations, enabling them to meet high customer demands and continue innovating in vehicle construction. The case study reflects Eder's commitment to quality and efficiency in their manufacturing processes.
