Summary
This case study details the migration of Optimium, a managed IT services provider, from Azure-hosted virtual machines to new on-premises servers. The objective was to improve latency and reduce costs while ensuring a stable and efficient remote access solution for its diverse workforce. TSplus was selected for its ease of deployment and responsive support, which helped optimize the setup for Optimium’s environment. The study outlines the challenges faced during the migration, including slow virtual machines, update failures, and display issues. It describes how TSplus addressed these challenges through various solutions, such as display scaling adjustments and security settings configurations. The results indicate that the collaboration between Optimium and TSplus led to improved server performance, user experience, and application access control. The case study concludes that TSplus has become integral to Optimium’s remote access strategy, providing a cost-effective alternative to traditional solutions like Citrix.
