This case study details the implementation of a centralized safety management system by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) unit. The objective was to address the challenges posed by disconnected reporting methods that hindered workplace safety processes. The absence of a unified solution led to inconsistent reporting timelines, delayed investigations, and difficulties in ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations. To overcome these issues, ICE selected BroadPoint’s safety management solution, which is built on Tyler’s web-based Application Platform. This system enables comprehensive tracking and management of safety incidents, inspections, and health hazards. Key features include automated data integration, digital incident reporting, and real-time notifications for critical safety incidents. The centralized approach has streamlined reporting processes, reduced the time required for OSHA reporting, and enhanced ICE's overall safety management capabilities. By unifying safety management data, ICE can now proactively manage workplace safety more effectively.
