This paper presents a research article focused on the development of a holistic and cyclical methodology designed to enhance the sustainability and resilience of supply chains through the application of the Supply Chain Digital Twin (SCDT) concept. The methodology leverages simulation techniques to manage disruption risks within supply chains, particularly in the agri-food sector. The study addresses recent challenges faced by supply chain managers, such as those brought on by natural disasters and the COVID-19 pandemic, prompting a need for improved strategies. The authors detail the methodology's features, emphasizing its cyclical nature, which enables continuous improvement based on evolving challenges and market dynamics. It is tested through a case study using the anyLogistix software, validating the effectiveness of the proposed approach. The results provide valuable insights into enhancing supply chain resilience and sustainability, allowing for a comprehensive understanding of integrating multiple facets of supply chain management into a cohesive framework.
