This report presents the findings of the Global Annual Data Center Survey 2025, which was conducted between April 3, 2025, and May 22, 2025, involving 1,677 respondents from the data center industry. The survey reveals that half of the respondents reported experiencing an outage in their data center within the last three years, with 28% categorizing these outages as significant, serious, or severe. Furthermore, 87% of those who experienced major outages believe that better management or processes could have prevented them. The report also highlights that only 11% of respondents indicated that outages affected their AI training or inference applications, with the primary impacts being lost productivity, security issues, and customer service level agreement (SLA) issues. Additionally, the survey identifies perceived benefits of AI integration in data center operations, including increased facility efficiency, reduced human error, and enhanced staff productivity, with 89% of respondents acknowledging these advantages.
