This article presents a detailed report on the recent combat training center (CTC) rotation conducted by the 1st Armored Division (AD) at the National Training Center (NTC). The rotation involved multiple enablers, including the 4th Security Force Assistance Brigade (SFAB), which faced unique challenges in integrating various capabilities. The report outlines the need for modernization of communication equipment to enhance interoperability with coalition partners and U.S. divisions. It emphasizes the importance of effective communication training and validation for advisors, highlighting the reliance on communication representatives during operations. Additionally, the article discusses the necessity of integrating systems that produce a digital common operating picture (COP) and the challenges faced in ensuring all systems communicate effectively. Lessons learned from this rotation are expected to shape future standard operating procedures for SFABs, particularly in large-scale combat operations (LSCO). The findings aim to improve the readiness and effectiveness of the SFAB in supporting partner forces during both competition and conflict.
