This case study details the University of Arizona's implementation of Validity DemandTools to enhance data management and quality across its Salesforce platform. The university relies on Salesforce for managing student interactions and services, but faced challenges with duplicate records and data inconsistencies that hindered student support. Lead Data Strategist Frances Miller identified the need for a robust solution to improve data quality and streamline processes. After exploring various tools, the team adopted DemandTools, which enabled them to clean existing data, prevent duplicate entries, and manage data storage effectively. Within one month, they modified 1.1 million records, merged 21,000 records, inserted 16,000 records, and updated 205,000 records. The implementation of DemandTools not only improved data quality but also facilitated a more efficient workflow, allowing staff to focus on supporting students without technical hindrances. The university plans to further enhance its data management capabilities by integrating Validity BriteVerify for email validation.
