This case study details the deployment of a global SD-WAN solution by NORMA Group, a leader in engineered joining technology. The document outlines the challenges faced by NORMA Group, which operates 58 locations across 23 countries, including varying IT schedules, bandwidth needs, and supply chain disruptions, particularly in high-restriction markets like China. To address these challenges, NORMA Group partnered with vCom and QuantumShift to modernize its network infrastructure. The solution involved designing a fully redundant, high-availability SD-WAN architecture that supports 111 devices and incorporates multiple transport types, such as Internet and MPLS. The deployment was strategically planned in collaboration with regional IT teams to ensure alignment with local operations. The results include a fully optimized SD-WAN environment with centralized management through vCom’s vManager platform, leading to reduced waste and improved performance visibility across the organization.
