This case study details the enrollment performance of Velocity in a multinational Phase 3 vaccine trial sponsored by a large pharmaceutical company. The trial aimed to enroll 40,000 participants across more than 300 sites, with Velocity tasked to enroll 5,435 participants, representing 13.5% of the total trial goal. The target population consisted of adults aged 50 and older, stratified into three age groups. The enrollment window was set from September to November 2024. Velocity successfully achieved its enrollment goal by mid-November, 11 days prior to the closing of the enrollment window, and was subsequently authorized to enroll additional participants. The case study highlights that Velocity enrolled over 5,700 participants, surpassing its initial target by 106.5%. Additionally, it notes that Velocity sites delivered more than 30% more participants on average compared to other trial sites, showcasing their operational effectiveness in large-scale global trials.
