Application Security Integration for Financial Technology

This case study outlines the application security challenges faced by Banco Inter S.A., a rapidly growing financial technology enterprise in Brazil. Following significant growth, the company aimed to enhance its digital offerings while ensuring the security of its software and customer data. To achieve this, Banco Inter's security and development teams sought an application security solution that could seamlessly integrate with their existing development tools and processes. The implementation of the Veracode Continuous Software Security Platform allowed for the integration of scans into development pipelines, utilizing Veracode's Static Analysis, Dynamic Analysis, and Software Composition Analysis to identify vulnerabilities. As a result, Banco Inter accelerated its software scanning process, reducing scan times from 16 minutes to under six minutes, which enabled over 1,000 deployments monthly. The solution provided a scalable security framework that supported the company's growth and compliance throughout the software development lifecycle, facilitating its international expansion.
