Lighting Retrofit Case Study for MetroSouth Medical Center

This case study details the lighting retrofit project undertaken at MetroSouth Medical Center, a 281,256 sq. ft. acute care hospital located in Blue Island, IL. The project aimed to replace and upgrade the outdated lighting system with new LED lighting, controls, and occupancy sensors. The total project cost was $978,225.90, with a significant reduction in lighting energy consumption of 56.37%. The project also received incentive rebates totaling $117,170.40, leading to total life cycle savings of $1,951,572.16 and monthly energy savings of $27,250.08.
