This case study details the collaboration between Vexos and a customer to develop an RFID tracking solution for livestock. The project involved Vexos' participation during the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase, focusing on testing, mechanical packaging, product identification, and device protection. The solution was designed to operate over a range of two to five miles, with a battery life of three to five years. Key challenges included adhering to RF production and testing protocols, as well as integrating hot plate welding and laser marking into the packaging process. Vexos engineering teams worked closely with the customer to address these challenges and ensure a smooth transition from the initiation phase to final product delivery. The case study also highlights Vexos' commitment to quality through rigorous subcontractor selection, continuous personnel training, and adherence to various certifications, including ISO 9001:2015 and FDA registration. Overall, the project exemplifies Vexos' capabilities in high-volume production and innovative manufacturing processes.
