This case study details the collaboration between International Flavors and Fragrances, Inc. (IFF) and Victory Energy to develop a new boiler room solution in response to an expiring steam supply contract. Faced with the challenge of securing a reliable steam supply, IFF opted to partner with Victory Energy, leveraging their expertise in boiler systems. The project involved a committee of IFF stakeholders to ensure that the proposed solution met diverse internal goals. Victory Energy provided comprehensive engineering support, including process flow modeling and thermal engineering, to create a vertically integrated steam plant design. The solution included VOYAGER Series O-Type Watertube Boilers, LN VISION Burners, and ancillary components. The collaboration ensured that the project was completed efficiently, meeting IFF's sustainability and performance criteria. The outcome resulted in energy independence, improved reliability, and long-term cost reductions for IFF, highlighting the effectiveness of a single supplier approach in complex projects.
